Subsidy 1641

This East Riding document explicitly relates to the two subsidies granted to Charles I by the 'Long Parliament' in 1641, and contains separate certificates of assessment and individual assessments for the Wilton Beacon (rot 1) and Holme Beacon (rot 2) divisions of the wapentake of Harthill.

Both certificates record inquests held at Market Weighton on 19 October 1641. The two subsidies were to be collected in a single payment, and were due on 1 December 1641.
